What is Cuscuta?
Cuscuta (Amarbel) is a yellow leafless tubular parasitic herb that derives some or all of its nutritional requirements from another living plant because it lacks chlorophyll and hence cannot make its own food. That's why a parasitic plant is also known as the heterotrophic plant.
It climbs on other trees or plants known as a host plant and absorbs the nutrients for its growth and weakens the host plant.
