What is a Plant?
Plants are multicellular organisms in the kingdom Plantae. They are autotrophs as they can produce their own food.
They are very essential for any ecosystem. They provide all the energy for the ecosystem because they can get energy directly from sunlight, and use a process called photosynthesis to use energy from the sun to grow and reproduce.
They also produce most of the world’s oxygen, and are important in the food chain, as many organisms eat plants or eat organisms that eat plants.
The study of plants is called botany.
Some common examples of plants include grasses, shrubs, and trees.
