Hormones are the chemicals that perform the function of control and coordination in plants are called plant hormones.


The four plant hormones and their functions are as follows:


1) Auxin: It helps in enlargement and differentiation of cells in plants.

2) Gibberellins: It breaks the dormancy in seeds and buds.

3) Cytokinins: It promotes the functioning of cell division in plants.

4) Abscisic acid: It promotes the closing of the stomatal pores.
