The ratio of the heights of two boys is 7:6 . if the height of the first boy is 210 cm, what is the height of the second boy
Given: Ratio of heights of two boys is 7:6. Height of first boy is 210 cm
To find: Height of second boy
Let the height of second boy be X
So ratio of their heights is 210: X
So we have,
210: X = 7:6
Product of means = product of extremes
=>
$210\times6 = x\times7$
Divide both sides by 7
$\frac{210\times6}{7} =\frac{ x\times7}{7}$
$30\times6 = x$
$180 = x$
So, height of second boy is 180 cm
