Given :

Fifteen years from now Ravi's age will be four times his present age.

To do :

We have to find Ravi's present age.

Solution :

Let the present age of Ravi be x.

Age of Ravi after 15 years $= x+15$

Therefore,

$4(x) = x+15$

$4x = x+15$

$4x-x = 15$

$3x = 15$

$x = \frac{15}{3}$

$x = 5$

The present age of Ravi is 5 years.
