Solution :

We know that,

$(+) \times (-) = (-)$

$(-) \times (-) = +$

$[-86 + (-42) ] + [ - 181 - (-63)] = [-86 - 42 ] + [ - 181 + 63]$

                                                     $=  -(86+42)-(181-63)$

                                                     $= -128-118$

                                                     $=  -(128+118)$

                                                     $=  -246$.
