We know that,

$\frac{-a}{-b} = \frac{a}{b}$

$\frac{(-64)}{(-8)} = \frac{64}{8}$

                 $ = \frac{8\times 8}{8}$

                  $= 8$.

Therefore, the value of $(-64)\div (-8)$ is $8$.
