Draw the graph of each of the following linear equations in two variables.$ 3 x+5 y=15 $

Given:

The given equation is \( 3 x+5 y=15 \).

To do:

We have to draw the graph of the given linear equation in two variables.

Solution:

To represent the above equation graphically we need at least two solutions for the given equation.

For equation $3x+5y=15$,

$5y=15-3x$

$y=\frac{15-3x}{5}$

If $x=0$ then $y=\frac{15-3(0)}{5}=3$

If $x=5$ then $y=\frac{15-3(5)}{5}=0$

$x$

$0$$5$

$y$

$3$$0$

Plot the points $A(0, 3)$ and $B(5, 0)$ on the graph and join them to get the graph of the given equation.

The above situation can be plotted graphically as below:
