Can vinegar and water be separated?
Vinegar is acetic acid in water so it would be exceptionally difficult to separate vinegar and water.
Acetic acid usually makes up only 3 - 4% of a typical retail vinegar and the rest is water itself.
However, if you are want to separate the acetic acid from water then careful distillation can be done in this case. Water boils at 100C and acetic acid at 118C which means that if you are very careful and keep the solution at a simmer you should be able to boil off the water and get acetic acid.
