1 - Kushal Pal Singh retired as Chairman of DLF
Kushal Pal Singh stepped down as the Chairman of property firm Delhi Land & Finance Limited (DLF). He will be replaced by his son Rajiv Singh, currently serving as vice chairman of the firm. DLF ((Delhi Land & Finance) Limited is Gurgaon based commercial real estate company in India for six decades.
Singh took over as chairman in 1995 and under his leadership, DLF expanded beyond Gurugram, building apartments, shopping malls, and hotels. He raised Rs. 9,188 crore through the sale of 175 million shares during IPO of DLF.
2 - Gomathi Marimuthu banned for four-years from AIU
Gomathi Marimuthu, the 2019 Asian championship 800m gold medallist was found positive for anabolic steroid nandrolone 'B' sample and therefore, she was banned for four years by the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU). She was stripped of her medal and her all competition results between March 18 and May 17, 2019, stand invalid.
Gomathi Marimuthu is an Indian Track and field middle distance runner who won the gold medal in the women's 800 m at the 2019 Asian Athletics Championships held in Doha, Qatar.
3 - Ukranian boxer Oleksandr Gvozdyk retired from sport
Oleksandr Gvozdyk, the former world light heavyweight boxing champion from Ukraine announced retirement from boxing. He won the WBC title in December 2018, bronze medal at the 2012 Olympics and a gold at the 2013 Summer Universiade.
Gvozdyk is popularly known as "The Nail". His win ratio stands at 82.4%. He is part of the Ukrainian golden generation of boxing. He was honored with ‘Boxing Writers Association of America’s “2017 Fighter of the Year”.
4 - Kyrgyz Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev resigned
Kyrgyz Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev has resigned to avoid hindering the progress of a criminal investigation into radio frequencies. Abylgaziev denied any involvement in the case. He was appointed as prime minister by President Sooronbai Jeenbekov in April 2018.
President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov signed a decree accepting the resignation of Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev. With this, the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic is also considered to have resigned.
5 - WWE legend The Undertaker announced retirement
Wrestling legend The Undertaker has announced his retirement from WWE after a career spanning three decades. The Undertaker, whose real name is Mark Calaway, announced his retirement during the last episode of the legendary wrestler's docuseries 'Undertaker: The Final Ride'.
The Undertaker was also known as the 'Deadman' and had 17 WWE Championship titles. The UnderTaker held a 21-year winning streak at WrestleMania and also won the World Heavyweight Championship thrice.
6 - New Zealand's Rachel Priest announced retirement from international cricket
New Zealand wicket-keeper batter Rachel Priest has announced her retirement from international cricket. She repesented her country in 87 ODIs and 75 T20Is, scoring 2,567 runs, including 2 hundreds and 10 fifties. As a keeper, she finished with 165 dismissals to her name.
Priest has now signed up a contract with Cricket Tasmania to play in Australia Women's National Cricket League. She will play for the Tasmanian Tigers for the 2020/21 season.
