Ever since its release this laptop has been a huge hit. It has some amazing, never before seen qualities and a state of the art design which is sure to catch the attention of millions of people around the globe. This new series of Windows 8 touch screen laptops is rapidly becoming the talk of the town.

More and more manufactures are seen shifting to Windows 8 touch screen laptops because of the obvious growing demands for them. Surveys show that the revenue for companies that are introducing these touch screen laptops by Microsoft is literally off the charts.

Back in 2010 Steve Jobs stated that touch surfaces should not be vertical, it’s interesting to see how Microsoft is able to come with touch screen laptops with Windows 8 operating system and they seem to be working wonderfully.  It seems that the more people use these touch screen laptops the more they are fascinated by their technology.

It may seem wrong at first, for a laptop to be touch screen and a touch screen seemed like a replacement for the keyboard and mouse, this surprisingly is not the case. In fact the touch screen has been reported to actually complement both the keyboard and the mouse because when you are tired of typing from the touch screen keyboard you can always switch back to the regular buttoned one.

One more thing that these touch screen laptops have done is that they have made opening a program faster and easier because tapping it open is a lot more convenient and time saving than reaching for the mouse or scroll and scrolling at it with a pointer and then clicking it. However, the size of the screen does matter when talking about how well the touch screen works because naturally the larger the screen, the larger the resolution, the bigger the icons and the easier it is to touch.

Here are some examples of the rapidly growing Windows 8 touch screen laptops:

HP Spectre XT TouchSmart $1349, $699 Asus VivoBook, $1299 Acer Aspire and $899 Sony Vaio T13. Other items on Microsoft’s list are Hybrids and convertibles such as $799 Asus VivoTab, $499 Acer Iconia W510 and $849 HP Envy x2.
