Why we should not keep the lemon pickle in an aluminium vessel?

Lemon pickle contains acid, while Aluminium is a metal.

The metal reacts with an acid to produce hydrogen gas, that's why it is not advisable to store the lemon pickle in an aluminium utensil because it will spoil the pickle and holes will be formed in the vessel.
