Why fertilizers are important?
Fertilizers or fertilisers are important because these are the chemical compounds or mixtures that are delivered as solids, liquids, or gases, to supply essential plant nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium for the growth of plants.
Because of being water-soluble, they can be dissolved easily in the soil, and improve the water-holding capacity of the plants.
They have an immediate effect on the crops. It also increases plants tolerance towards pests.
Some Common examples of fertilizers are ammonia, potassium chloride, and urea.
