What is the role of water in the process of diffusion?

Diffusion is the movement of a substance from a high concentration area to the low concentration area.

It happens in liquids and gases because their particles move randomly from place to place.

Water is just an example of a liquid that can be used to show diffusion.

For Example- Water moves across cell membranes by the process of diffusion, which is known as osmosis.

Osmosis- It refers especially to the movement of water across a semipermeable membrane, with the solvent (for example, water) moving from low solute area (dissolved material) to high solute concentrated area.
