What is the function of Liver and Pancreas?
The bile juice, pancreatic juice and intestinal juice are major digestive juices that are secreted within the small intestine.
Bile juice breaks down the lipid molecule by using lipase enzyme secreted by liver. The lipid molecules are broken into di-and monoglycerides. The pancreatic juice secreted by pancreas conducts the amylase starch digestion.
The pancreatic enzymes also digest the trypsin, chymotrypsin and carboxypeptidase proteins. Pancreatic Juice is secretion of brush border cells and goblet cells in the small intestine.
