What is first-class lever?
First-class Lever
The first-class lever is one of three classes of levers. In a first-class lever system, the fulcrum (pivot point) is located on the lever between the points where the force (effort) is applied and load (resistance) is being moved.
Crowbars and seesaws are common example of first-class lever system.
A lever has three components:
1. Axis (pivot or fulcrum)
2. Resistive Load (weight)
3. Force (effort)
