Using distributivity, find:
$\frac{8}{15} \times \frac{-7}{18} + \frac{8}{15} \times \frac{-11}{18} $

Given:$\frac{8}{15} \times \frac{-7}{18} + \frac{8}{15} \times \frac{-11}{18} $

To Do:  Using distributive law solve the following question

Solution

Distributive property of multiplication states that

a x b + a x c = a (b + c)

for any three numbers a, b, c

= $ \frac{-7}{18}  \frac{-11}{18}$
= $\frac{8}{15}  \times \frac{-7-11}{18}$
= $\frac{8}{15}  \times   \frac{-18}{18}$
= $\frac{8}{15} \times \frac{-1}{1}$
 Therefore the solution is -$\frac{8}{15}$
