If the work done by a body on application of a constant force is directly proportional to the distance travelled by the body, express this in the form of an equation in two variables and draw the graph of the same by taking the constant force as 5 units. Also read from the graph the work done when the distance travelled by the body is
(i) 2 units
(ii) 0 unit

Let $x$ and $y$ be the distance travelled by the body and work done on the body respectively.

As given, work done by a body on application of a constant force is directly proportional to the distance travelled by the body

Therefore, $y\propto x$

Or $y=kx$  [Where $k$ is a constant]

According to the given question, constant force$=5\ units$

Therefore, $k=5$

Therefore, $y=5x$

When distance travelled by the body is $0\ unit$, $x=0$

Therefore, $y=5\times0=0$

Thus, for $0\ unit$ distance co-ordinates are $( 0,\ 0)$.

And when distance travelled by the body is $2\ units$

$y=5\\times2=10\ units$

$x$$0$$2$
$y$$0$$10$
