How does the pattern of growth in plants differ from that of animal?


The pattern of growth in plants differs from the animals in certain aspects.


Plants show continuous growth throughout their lifespan due to the presence of meristems in certain regions like root apex (tip of roots), shoot apex (stems) etc. 


On the other hand-


Animals, show growth in all parts of the body until they reach a genetically determined size for each species during a fixed period in their life cycle.
