We have to find the modes of the given data sets.
Solution:
We know that,
The mode is the number that appears most frequently in a set of data.
(i) In the given data,
1 appears one time, 3 appears three times, 4 appears one time, 5 appears two times and 6 appears once.
3 appears the most number of times.
Therefore, 3 is the mode of the given data.
(ii) In the given data,
15 marks are obtained by 6 students, 17 marks are obtained by 17 students, 20 marks are obtained by 12 students, 22 marks are obtained by 18 students and 25 marks are obtained by 13 students.
22 marks appears the most number of times.
Therefore, 22 is the mode of the given data.
