Given:

An army regime is marching in a parade.

There are 21 soldiers in a row.

To do:

We have to find the total number of soldiers for a given number of rows

Solution:

Let the number of rows be $r$.

Number of soldiers in a row $=21$.

Total number of soldiers $=$ Number of soldiers in a row $\times$ Number of rows.

$=21\times r$

$=21r$.

Therefore, the required rule for number of soldiers is $21r$.
