To find:
We have to add the given numbers on the number line.
Solution:
(i) ($\mathbf{-}$12) $\mathbf{+}$ ($\mathbf{-}$2)
Step 1: First mark $-$12.
Step 2: Move 2 steps to the left.
So, the answer is $-$14.
(ii) 10 $\mathbf{+}$ ($\mathbf{-}$7)
Step 1: First mark 10.
Step 2: Move 7 steps to the left.
So the answer is 3.
(iii) 8 $\mathbf{+}$ ($\mathbf{-}$8)
Step 1: First mark 8.
Step 2: Move 8 steps to the left.
So the answer is 0
