HTML - DOM Style Object pageBreakAfter Property



HTML DOM Style Object pageBreakAfter property sets or returns the page break behavior after an element during print or print preview.

Syntax

Set the pageBreakAfter property:
object.style.pageBreakAfter= "auto | always | avoid | emptystring | left | right | initial | inherit";
Get the pageBreakAfter property:
object.style.pageBreakAfter;

Property Values

Value Description
auto It is the default value which inserts a page break after the element if required.
always It always inserts page break after the element.
avoid It avoids the page break after the element.
emptystring It does not insert page break after the element.
left It inserts one or two page breaks after the element, so that the next page is to be considered as left page.
right It inserts one or two page breaks after the element, so that the next page is to be considered as right page.
initial It is used to set this property to it's default value.
inherit It is used to inherit the property of it's parent element.

Return Value

It returns a string value which represents page break behavior after an element while printing.
