HTML - DOM Style Object fontSizeAdjust Property
HTML DOM Style Object fontSizeAdjust property is used to set or return the font aspect value of text. Aspect value refers to size difference between the lowercase letter "x" and the uppercase letter "X".
It is useful when first choice of font size is not available and browser uses second specified font. This property prevents the big chnage in font size.
Syntax
Set the fontSizeAdjust property:object.style.fontSizeAdjust= "none | number | initial | inherit";Get the fontSizeAdjust property:
object.style.fontSizeAdjust;
Property Values
Value | Description |
---|---|
none | It is the default value which does not specifies adjustment of font size. |
number | It is used for calculating the font size to use on available font by multiplying the specified value with ratio of (aspect value of first choice font/aspect value of second choice font). For example let's suppose we have set fontSizeAdjust = "2";. That means value calculated will be 2*(first choice aspect value/Second choice aspect value). |
initial | It is used to set this property to it's default value. |
inherit | It is used to inherit the property of it's parent element. |
Return Value
It returns a String value which represents the font aspect value of text.
