1 - Dinesh Mongia announced retirement from all forms of cricket

Former India all-rounder Dinesh Mongia announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. He last played for India in an ODI against Bangladesh. He made his ODI debut against Australia in March 2001.

Mongia represented India in 57 ODIs, scoring 1230 runs at an average of 27.95. He played only one T20I. Dinesh Mongia was suspended by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for joining the Indian Cricket League (ICL). He enjoyed a prolific first-class career, amassing 8,028 runs at an average of 48.95 from 121 matches, in which he scored 21 centuries.

2 - ADB president Takehiko Nakao resigned

Takehiko Nakao announced his resignation as the President of Asian Development Bank, effective 16 January 2020. He assumed office as President on 28 April 2013. As President, he expanded ADB’s operations (increase in new lending and grant from $14 billion in 2013 to $22 billion in 2018 and led the merger of Ordinary Capital Resources and concessional lending operation of the Asian Development Fund.

Nakao launched of Strategy 2030 and improved financial sustainability of the staff pension system by introducing defined contribution plan for new hires.
