1 - Smriti Irani released book titled “Chronicles of Change Champions”

Union Minister Smriti Zubin Irani released a book titled “Chronicles of Change Champions” in New Delhi. The book is a compilation of 25 innovative initiatives taken at the state and district levels under the Prime Minister’s flagship scheme of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao.

The book captures the convergent approach adopted at the grass-root level. It provides insight into the unique manner of community engagement by the District Administration and front-line workers.

2 - National Book Trust of MHRD launched #StayHomeIndiaWithBooks initiative

In the wake of preventive measures of the Government of India to contain the spread of Covid-19 and to encourage people to #StayIn and #StayHome, the National Book Trust of HRD Ministry, in its efforts to encourage people to read books while at home, is providing its select and best-selling titles for FREE Download as part of its initiative of #StayHomeIndiaWithBooks!

The 100+ books, in PDF format, can be downloaded from the NBT's website https://nbtindia.gov.in The books cover all genres of fiction, biography, popular science, teacher's handbook, and majorly books for children and young adults.

3 - Book titled “The Adventures of the Daredevil Democrat” released

Odisha Chief Minister (CM) Naveen Patnaik released the comic book titled “The Adventures of the Daredevil Democrat”. The book was released on the occasion of the 104thbirth Anniversary of former Odisha CM Late Biju Patnaik in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

The book deals about the life and works of legendary leader and Naveen Patnaik’s father Biju Patnaik. The book aims to inspire and encourage young minds to serve the motherland.

4 - “My Encounters in Parliament” authored by Bhalchandra Mungekar released

My Encounters in Parliament

The book titled "My Encounters in Parliament" authored by Bhalchandra Mungekar was released by former Vice President Hamid Ansari. Bhalchandra Mungekar is an Indian economist, a former member of Rajya Sabha. He is an expert in agricultural economics and has handled several positions in various organizations including the Planning Commission.

The book details about the work life experiences and challenges faced by former Vice President Hamid Ansari in Parliament.

5 - Nitin Gadkari presented ‘Invincible-A Tribute to Manohar Parrikar’ to President

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari presented a copy of the book -- 'Invincible - A Tribute to Manohar Parrikar' to President Ram Nath Kovind. Parrikar, who was Goa's Chief Minister and also a Defence Minister passed away due to illness in 2019. The book describes on Manohar Parrikar's life’s challenges and contribution towards the country.

Manohar Parrikar served as Chief Minister of Goa from 14 March 2017 until his death. He was honored with Padma Bhushan in 2020.

6 - An Extraordinary Life: A biography of Manohar Parrikar book released

The book titled 'An Extraordinary Life: A biography of Manohar Parrikar’ was released. The book details life of the former defence minister and Goa chief minister Manohar Parrikar. It is penned by veteran journalists Sadguru Patil and Mayabhushan Nagvenkar. It is published by Penguin Random House India.

Manohar Parrikar was an Indian politician and leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party who served as Chief Minister of Goa from 2000 to 2005 and from 2012 to 2014 and from 2014 to 2017.

7 - Book entitled ‘Messiah Modi: A Great tale of expectations’ released

A book entitled 'Messiah Modi: A Great Tale of Expectations' penned by senior journalist & author Tavleen Singh and published by HarperCollins India was released. The book describes early support for Modi the candidate, followed by a helpless disenchantment with Modi the PM and the cabinet he headed.

The book is about the journey from lynchings to demonetization up to Article 370, the foremost controversial law CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act), implementation of National Register of Citizens (NRC) & the guarantees he made in his first term.

8 - Book titled ‘Legacy of Learning’ authored by Savita Chhabra released

Savita Chhabra, Chairperson of Hygienic Research Institute Private Limited launched her debut book, called 'Legacy of Learning’. The book details about fictional stories and relatable interpretations of the Bhagavad Gita.

The book introduces readers to the importance of performing good karma and nudges them to be conscious about the purpose of their lives in every decision they make. Savita has successfully transformed HRIPL into the multi-crore company that it is today.

9 - Book titled “Missing in Action: The Prisoners Who Never Came Back” launched

A book titled “Missing in Action: The Prisoners Who Never Came Back” was launched. The book is written by Chander Suta Dogra and published by Harpercollins. The book unearths startling revelations that shed new light on the story of India's soldiers missing in action.

The soldiers went missing in enemy territory while on daring missions during the 1965 and 1971 Indo-Pak wars. The book also attempts to find out what happened to them.
