News 1 - ‘Numbers Do Lie’ authored by former cricketer Aakash Chopra

Former Indian test batsman, Aakash Chopra released his latest book 'Numbers Do Lie' in New Delhi. The book has been authored by Aakash in collaboration with the team from Impact Index, an analytics system for cricket devised by Jaideep Varma.

The book shares 61 stories about cricketers from all times. The stories are based on the findings of Impact Index. Aakash brought in a human element, writing about how and why particular cricketers were successful.

The book titled, Rekha: The Untold Story, authored by Yasser Usman was in the news recently. The book is published by Juggernaut.

The book tells about Rekha and her childhood days. It also brings into light her entry into Bollywood. It also talks about her relationship with the reigning superstars of the time, her many other love affairs and the shocking suicide of her husband, Mukesh Agarwal.

The book titled "The Rise of Sivagami: Book 1 of Baahubali - before the beginning" was released on 7th March 2017. The book was written by noted author Anand Neelakanthan. The book is a prequel to the film Baahubali - The Beginning.

Anand Neelakantan is known for his famous fiction books 1. Asura: Tale of the Vanquished 2. Ajaya: Roll of the Dice and 3. Ajaya: Rise of Kali. His first book Asura: Tale of the Vanquished was shortlisted for Crossword popular award in 2013 and his second book, Ajaya: Roll of the Dice was shortlisted for Crossword popular award in 2014.

News 4 - Michael Clarke launched his autobiography ‘My Story’

Michael Clarke launched his autobiography ‘My Story' published by Pan MacMillan. The former Australian Captain, in his 11-year international career, played 115 Tests making 8643 runs and 28 centuries.

His tenure as a captain of the Australian team included achievements like a 5–0 whitewash of England in 2013–14, the 2015 World Cup triumph, and a ten-hour unbeaten 161, batting with a broken shoulder to lead Australia back to the #1 World Ranking in 2014.

News 5 - A Book titled '50 Years – The Great Indian Milk Revolution' launched

The Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Shri Radha Mohan Singh, launched the Coffee Table Book titled “50 Years – The Great Indian Milk Revolution” commemorating National Dairy Development Board’s (NDDB) Golden Jubilee year.

This book encapsulates NDDB's remarkable 50-year journey and the value it has created for millions of dairy farmers in this country. It also highlights the Dairy Board's efforts towards bringing about socio-economic change in rural India.

News 6 - Army Released a Book on the Rashtriya Rifles

General Bipin Rawat, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), released the book ‘Home of the Brave’ on the history of Indian Army’s Counter Insurgency Force, the Rashtriya Rifles (RR). The book is authored by Mr Nitin A. Gokhale, Defence & Security Analyst and Brig S K Chatterji (Retired).

Home of the Brave traces the early history of the RR, its organization, including its raising and subsequent deployment in Punjab, the North East and in Jammu & Kashmir.
