The Andhra Pradesh Government will conduct a Smart Pulse Survey for collecting socioeconomic data of 1.48 crore households in the state from 8th to 30th July. Considering a loophole in the Aadhaar database that does not provide the socio-economic details like caste, community education, income and livelihood details of a citizen, the A.P. Government decided to conduct this smart pulse survey.

The State Government appointed senior IAS officers, who will supervise the survey as nodal officers for the 13 districts. Survey will be conducted by visiting houses and details could be provided by citizens over the internet also.
