Therefore,
The fraction representing the shaded portion $= \frac{8}{9}$
(iii) There are eight parts in total and 4 parts are shaded.
Therefore,

$=\frac{1}{2}$
(iv) There are four parts in total and 1 part is shaded.
Therefore,
