Solution:

(i)  $7^3=7\times7\times7$

$=49\times7$

$=343$

(ii)  $(12)^3=12\times12\times12$

$=144\times12$

$=1728$ 

(iii) $(16)^3=16\times16\times16$

$=256\times16$

$=4096$  

(iv) $(21)^3=21\times21\times21$

$=441\times21$

$=9261$   

(v) $(40)^3=40\times40\times40$

$=1600\times40$

$=64000$   

(vi) $(55)^3=55\times55\times55$

$=3025\times55$

$=166375$   

(vii) $(100)^3=100\times100\times100$

$=10000\times100$

$=1000000$   

(viii) $(302)^3=302\times302\times302$

$=91204\times302$

$=27543608$   

(ix) $(301)^3=301\times301\times301$

$=90601\times301$

$=27270901$
