What is meant by Kelvin?


The kelvin is the base unit of temperature in the International System of Units (SI), having the unit symbol K.

0 C = 273 K. The freezing point of water or melting point of ice is equal to 273 K temperature.

-273 K is defined as the absolute zero temperature.

100 C the boiling point of water = 100 + 273 = 373 K

This unit of temperature named after Lord Kelvin, a British Physicist.
