What is meant by set?
Set :
- A set is a well-defined collection of unique objects.
- A set in mathematics is a collection of well defined and distinct objects; a set also can be considered as an object in its own.
- The most basic features of a set are that a set has elements or members and that two sets are equal if and only if every element of one set is an element of the other set.
- Sets are usually denoted by uppercase letters such as A, B, S, or Z. Each object or number in a set is called a member or element of the set.
Examples of sets: The set of all laptops in the world, The set of all oranges on a tree, and the set of all rational numbers between -1 and 1.
