What is Fahrenheit?


Fahrenheit is a temperature scale based on 32° for the freezing point of water and 212° for the boiling point of water, the interval between the two is divided into 180 equal parts. 

It was developed by the physicist Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit in 1724. It uses the degree Fahrenheit (symbol: °F) as the unit.
