How do we usually judge the state of rest or motion of a body?

State of Rest: An object is at rest if it does not change its position with respect to time.

State of Motion: An object is said to be in motion if it changes the position with respect to time.

Therefore, we can judge the state of rest or motion of a body by measuring the position of the body with respect to time.
