Find the value of a and b.
$\left(\frac{a}{2} \ +\ 3,\ b\ -\ 1\right) \ =\ (5,\ -3)$
Given: $\left(\frac{a}{2} \ +\ 3,\ b\ -\ 1\right) \ =\ (5,\ -3)$
To find: Here we have to find the value of a and b.
Solution:
Given that;
$\left(\frac{a}{2} \ +\ 3,\ b\ -\ 1\right) \ =\ (5,\ -3)$
Therefore,
$\frac{a}{2} \ +\ 3\ =\ 5$
$\frac{a}{2} \ =\ 5\ -\ 3$
$\frac{a}{2} \ =\ 2$
$a\ =\ 2\ \times \ 2$
$\mathbf{a\ =\ 4}$
Also,
$b\ -\ 1\ =\ -3$
$b\ =\ -3\ +\ 1$
$\mathbf{b\ =\ -2}$
So, value of a and b is 4 and $-$2 respectively.
