Given: $\ \frac{3}{5} \ -\ \frac{1}{4}$

To find: We have to find a rational number between $\ \frac{3}{5} \ -\ \frac{1}{4}$.

Solution:

To find a rational number between $\ \frac{3}{5} \ -\ \frac{1}{4}$ first we need to convert these numbers having equal denominators.

So, LCM of 5 and 4 is 20.

Now,

$ \begin{array}{l} \frac{3}{5} \ =\ \frac{3}{5} \ \times \ \frac{4}{4} \ =\frac{12}{15}\ \ \frac{1}{4} \ =\ \frac{1}{4} \ \times \frac{5}{5} \ =\ \frac{5}{20} \ \end{array}$

Now, we can choose any number between these two numbers.

$\frac{6}{20} ,\ \frac{7}{20} ,\ \frac{8}{20} ,\ \frac{9}{20} ,\ \frac{10}{20} ,\ \frac{11}{20} \ $
