A coin is tossed 1000 times with the following frequencies
Head : 455, Tail : 545.
Compute the probability for each event.
Given:
A coin is tossed 1000 times with the following frequencies
Head: 455, Tail: 545.
To do:
We have to find the probability for each event.
Solution:
Total number of events $(m)=1000$
Number of events in which head comes$(n)=455$
We know that,
Probability of an event=$ \frac{Number \ of \ favourable \ outcomes}{Total \ number \ of \ outcomes}$
Therefore,
Probability of getting heads $=\frac{455}{1000}$
$=0.455$.
Probability of getting tails $=\frac{545}{1000}$
$=0.545$.
