How to install Javelin PDF Reader on Windows?

In this tutorial, we will learn how to install Javelin PDF Reader on Windows. Before beginning with the installation, let us first understand what is Javelin PDF Reader.

The Javelin PDF reader offer all the essential capabilities required to view both regular PDF files and PDF files encrypted (.drmz and .drmx files). A variety of page display formats, contents/navigation trees, internal and external hyperlinks, document text searching, annotation, and markup are all supported by these readers. The Javelin PDF readers for desktops, laptops and mobile devices are quick, small, secure and fully-functional PDF readers. 

The content of encrypted files is shielded against copying and subsequent release. They might also come with limitations, such whether printing is allowed or whether they have an expiration date after which they can no longer be seen.

Let us now see how to install Javelin PDF Reader on Windows −

Step 1

To install the Javelin PDF Reader on Windows, go to a web browser and open the official website https://www.drumlinsecurity.com/javelindownloads.php as shown in the below screenshot −

Go below and under the Operating System section, reach the Windows 7, 8, 10, 11 section to get the download link and click on it −

The download begins and completes −

Click on the exe file and the setup begins. The first dialog box is the License Agreement. Select I accept the agreement and click Next −

Now, the Select Destination Location section is visible. Under this, set the path for the installation. We will install the Javelin PDF Reader at the default location i.e.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Javelin3

If you want to change the location, click Browse.

Click Next to proceed with the installation −

The Select Start Menu Folder is now visible. This will create the shortcut in the below-mentioned Start Menu folder. Keep the default and click Next

The setup is now ready to install. Check the Destination Location and click Install −

The installation of the Javelin PDF Reader completes and the shortcut generates. On clicking Finish, the README file will open wherein the installation and other details will be visible. Also, the Javelin PDF Reader will open since the Launch application option is by default selected −
