Now answer the following questions:(i) Find the mean to determine A's average number of points scored per game
(ii) To find the mean number of points per game for C

(i) Average number of points scored per game by A$=\frac{Total\ points\ scored\ by\ A\ in\ all\ games}{Number\ of\ games\ played\ by\ A}$

$=\frac{14+16+10+10}{4}=\frac{50}{4}$ $=12.5$

(ii) Average number of points scored$=\frac{Total\ points\ scored\ by\ a\ player\ \ in\ all\ games}{Number\ of\ games\ played\ by\ the\ player}$

C played only 3 games.

Therefore,

We have to divide by 3 not 4.

Average number of points scored per game by C$=\frac{Total\ points\ scored\ by\ C\ in\ all\ games}{Number\ of\ games\ played\ by\ C}$

$=\frac{8+11+13}{3}=\frac{32}{3}$ $=10.33...$

(iii) Average number of points scored per game by B$=\frac{Total\ points\ scored\ by\ B\ in\ all\ games}{Number\ of\ games\ played\ by\ B}$

$=\frac{0+8+6+4}{4}=\frac{18}{4}$

$=4.5$

(iv) Comparing the mean points scored by A, B and C,

Mean points scored by A is the highest.

Therefore, A is the best performer.
