(a) Prime numbers are those numbers that are divisible by themselves and 1. No other number or numbers can divide them. These numbers have only two factors which include 1 as well.
A number which has only two factors is called a prime number.
(b) Composite numbers are those numbers that are NOT prime numbers. These numbers have three or more factors which include 1 as well.
A number which has more than two factors is called a composite number.
(c) We know that,
1 is neither a prime number nor a composite number.

(d) Prime numbers are those numbers that are divisible by themselves and 1. No other number or numbers can divide them. These numbers have only two factors which include 1 as well.
