1 - Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik received PETA award for allocating funds to feed community animals

Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik, has been conferred with Hero to Animals Award by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India. He received the honour for allocating funds to feed community animals in Odisha during the lockdown over the novel coronavirus pandemic.

The Chief Minister approved of Rs 54 lakhs from a relief fund to feed animals of the community to ensure that the animals do not go starving during the lockdown. He received a framed certificate and a letter of appreciation.

2 - Adam Higginbothams Midnight in Chernobyl won William E. Colby Award 2020

Adam Higginbotham's Midnight in Chernobyl: The Untold Story of the Worlds Greatest Nuclear Disaster has won the William E. Colby Award, given for an outstanding book on military or intelligence history. The award carries a reward of $5,000 prize.

The award is presented by Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont and sponsored in part by the Chicago-based Pritzker Military Foundation. It is named after the late CIA director and was established in 1999. "Midnight in Chernobyl" had earlier won the American Library Association's Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Non-fiction.

3 - Tata Power won Edison Award for its social innovation campaign

Tata Power was conferred with the honourable Global, Edison Award for its Club Enerji #Switchoff2SwitchOn campaign under Social innovation category and Social Energy Solutions subcategory. Club Enerjis #SwitchOff2SwitchOn is a call to action campaign hosted on Green Community & amplified via Digital, BTL, PR, Internal Platforms & on-ground activities.

The campaign hosted several Contests, Plastic Cleanliness Drives, Educational AVs & creatives to Switch Off irresponsible consumption & Switch On smart practices leading to savings. The Edison Awards, named after Thomas Alva Edison, recognizes and honours the worlds best innovations and innovators.
