What is the Brand Kit in Canva?

Brand image is vital because you don’t want to convey a wrong message. It is key to understanding and educating your brand identity, a representation of how people wish to perceive you.

What is Canva’s Brand Kit?

In simple terms, brand kits are critical tools that organizations of all sizes and types need to build a cohesive brand. It is a small and effortless guide to your brand’s identity. However, to get access to the brand kit, you’ll need a "Canva Pro" account or the "Canva for Enterprise" subscription.

As your business grows, you’ll have to make sure your brand image and message aren’t weak or distorted. That’s where Canva’s brand kit helps. With access to the brand kit, you can even set your brand’s color palette, upload your fonts, and store your logo for ease of use.

What’s included in the brand kit?

Each Brand Kit includes the following −

  • Brand logos

  • Brand colours

  • Brand fonts

With Canva for Enterprise, you can set multiple brand kits, in one place.

How to Set-up your Brand Kit in Canva?

Setting up your brand kit on Canva is easy. On the Canva homepage, select ‘Brand Kit’ available on the list on the left-hand side of the page.

When you click on the brand kit, a tab with existing brand kits opens with the option to add a new brand kit. Let’s set up a new brand kit for the newly opened Elite boutique.

We’ll first press the add brand kit option on the top, right side of the page.

This dialog box appears. Let’s name the brand kit Elite Boutique Co. The brand kit will open.

You can now add different colors from Canva’s palette that complement your brand. You can take help from the color wheel to add the right set of colors.

After adding colors, you can add or upload fonts and pre-format them for size, bold, and italics. You can set fonts for headings, subheadings, and smaller chunks of texts.

After adding fonts, you can add the logos that you created from Canva’s logo maker or upload them.

You’re done. Your brand kit is now ready to use!
