What are the implementations of EAI in data mining?

EAI represents Enterprise Application Integration. It supports an integrated method to connecting the multiple components of the IT framework- people, software, platforms, and databases to allow secure, intra and inter-enterprise collaboration.

EAI solutions allow an organization to integrate business processes internally and externally with business partners to make dynamic environments that provide current and evolving business requirements, thereby making a worldwide organization.

EAI helps in unrestricted sharing of information and business processes between any connected software or data sources in the enterprise without creating major changes to the software or data structures. EAI integrates numerous, independently developed software using incompatible technologies into an individual enterprise-wide system with data flowing seamlessly.

A business process contains interactions between several organizational units, which translates into a business process automation needing interactions with the several applications in an organization.

The major objection faced by the IT companies when integrating this software related to the integration of multiple domains, structures, and technologies. These challenges necessitate a well-planned EAI method and structure.

There are two main forms of EAI including the first one integrates software within a company (intra-EAI) and serves the first business required. The second form (inter-EAI) is associated with B2B integration and serves the second business required.

There are various implementations of EAI are as follows −

Database Linking − This is fundamentally connecting two or more databases so that data is shared among the databases at some point. The data can be transformed and duplicate data maintained or data can be shared. This is the easiest and original form of EAI.

Application Linking − This one is more difficult than database linking. Application linking defines both processes and data among two or more software are integrated. The benefit of this there is redundant business processes are not generated as the processes are shared among applications.

Data Warehousing − This is equivalent to database linking. Data Warehousing is the set of meaningful information from multiple data sources to provide decision-making efforts inside an organization. The data from several data stores is extracted, aggregated, and migrated into a data mart or data warehouse. EAI helps in real-time data warehousing.

Common Virtual System − A virtual system defines that for some transaction, the data needed for it will be accessible irrespective of where the data exists. EAI provides to integrate diverse systems so that they occur as one monolithic and unified software.
