Ossama El Sanharawi holds a MSc from CentraleSupélec, France. He worked for more than 5 years at General Electric (GE) in the HVDC business where he contributed to projects worth several hundred million dollars (HVDC: High-Voltage Direct-Current). These projects consist of connecting large renewable power plants to the grid and interconnecting remote ends to meet local and regional electricity needs.
His contributions led to the commissioning of DolWin3, the first offshore HVDC project in GE's history capable of providing clean wind power to more than one million homes in Germany.
His fields of experience include tendering, electrical system design, software development and mathematical modelling of electrical grids.
