(i) Rearing
(ii) Shearing
(iii) Sericulture


(i) Rearing - Rearing of animals means taking care of economically useful animals by managing their breeding, feeding, medical care etc. for obtaining one or more of their product useful for human beings e.g., apiculture, sericulture.

(ii) Shearing - The process of removing the fleece of the ship along with a thin layer of skin is called shearing. The person who removes the sheep's wool is called a shearer.

(iii) Sericulture - The process of rearing of silkworms for silk production is known as sericulture. The entire production process of silk can be divided into several steps which are typically handled by different entities. Extracting raw silk starts by cultivating the silkworms on mulberry leaves. This is known as Moriculture. It is the process of cultivating mulberry plants in order to obtain feed for silkworms.
Once the worms start pupating in their cocoons, these are dissolved in boiling water in order for individual long fibres to be extracted and fed into the spinning reel.
