What Is Mean, Median, Mode , and Range of a data set?
Mean, median, and mode are three types of averages found in statistics or data handling. There are several averages in statistics, but these three are the most common and popular.
The mean is the "average", where you add up all the numbers and then divide by the number of numbers.
The median is the "middle" value in the list of numbers. To find the median, the numbers are listed in numerical order from smallest to largest, and then the middle value in the list gives the median.
The mode is the value that occurs most often. If no number in the list is repeated, then there is no mode for the list.
The range of a list of data is the difference between the largest or maximum and the smallest or minimum value.
