FInd the number of diagonals that can be drawn for a pentagon.
To do: Find the number of diagonals that can be drawn for a pentagon.
Solution:
The number of diagonals of any polygon can be calculated using the formula $n\times\frac{n−3}{2}$
where n is the number of sides
A pentagon has 5 sides
So number of diagonals = $5\times\frac{5-3}{2}$
= 5
Therefore , 5 diagonals can be drawn for a pentagon.
