Types of JCB Attachments
There are many types of JCB attachments and we will discuss each of them in detail.
Radial Loader
Radial loader is a machine which is used in low-cost machine handling and process industries. The machine has the ability to pick up a load of a maximum of 500 kg at a maximum height of 20 feet. Radial loaders are of different types which include −
Concrete Radial loader
Dozer Radial loader
Loader Radial loader
Telescopic Radial loader
Radial Unloader
Front End Loader
Front End Loader is an attachment to a tractor that can be used in industries like agriculture, construction, and many more. The other names of the machine are shovel scoop loader, bucket loader, etc. Wheels are attached to the machine and the machine is used to lift and move materials from one place to another.
Dozer
Dozer is a leveling blade and is also known as a bulldozer. It is attached to the front and is used to push rocks, make roads, construction, farming, and wrecking. A heavy blade is attached to the front of the machine to perform all these tasks.
Backhoe Loader
Backhoe Loader is a machine that can be used for excavation, exploration, dozing, demolition, and digging. The machine is able to work on hard soils This machine is used in farming and agriculture in a very efficient manner. It has the power to lift a load of 1360 kg.
HD Ultra Sugarcane Loader
The HD Ultra Sugarcane Loader is a machine which is the perfect equipment for sugar mills. It has the ability to lift a load of up to one tonne. It can be driven at a very high speed and can work for 24/7. The machine is able to grab sugarcane from the top.
Telescopic Loaders and Unloaders
Telescopic Loaders and Unloaders, as the name suggests, are used for loading and unloading heavy goods. Some of the materials that they can load and unload are husk, cotton, and many more. The machine has the ability to load a material to a height of 17.5 feet from the ground.
Ultra Loader
Ultra Loader is a machine that has the ability to load materials whose weight is between 500 and 850 kg. The best feature of the machine is that its fuel consumption is low. It can be easily attached to a JCB tractor and lift heavy loads.
How does JCB work?
JCB starts working when an operator uses joysticks or pedals which are used to exert pressure on the fluid. This pressure is circulated unequally in all directions which acts on the surface of the piston and moves it along with the piston rod. The movement of the piston and piston rod causes mechanical motion.
Components of JCB
There are a lot of components used for the working of a JCB. These components are discussed here.
Hydraulic Cylinders
Hydraulic cylinders are used to convert hydraulic energy into mechanical force. The parts included in this component are −
cylinder barrel
piston
piston rod
Hydraulic fluid pushes the piston and piston rod and this results in the linear motion which is used for lifting and excavating.
Piston
Pistons are cylindrical which move when hydraulic pressure is imposed on them. The movement of the piston transfers the force to the machine. The main task of the piston is to generate mechanical motion which can be used to accomplish different types of tasks.
Joysticks
Joysticks are the components of JCB which are used to move other machine components. The component also helps in controlling the fluid flow to different cylinders.
Foot Pedals
Foot pedals are used to accelerate, steer, and put brakes on the machine. Different types of hydraulic processes can also can also be performed through foot pedals.
Buttons and Switches
Buttons and switches are the components that can be used to control and activate buckets, grapple, etc. Machines can be operated easily with the help of switches and buttons as fast modification can be done without any usage of joysticks.
Control Panels
Control panels are the components on which important information regarding the machine is displayed. This information includes
Status of the machine
Temperature
Hydraulic pressure
Besides these, other information is also displayed. Operators can use this data to use the machine to perform at its best and safely.
Advantages of JCB
JCB has many advantages and some of them are listed below −
Machines can work on flat and inclined surfaces
Digging a surface is easy
The machines are good for landscaping projects
Operators can easily operate the machine through various components like switches, buttons, and joysticks
Disadvantages of JCB
There are a few disadvantages of JCB which are as follows −
It is difficult to convert a tractor into a JCB machine
Manufacturing components and assembling them is difficult
The viscosity of oil temperature may affect the efficiency of transmission
Conclusion
JCB is a company that manufactures more than 300 products which can be used in different industries. These products are used to load and unload heavy materials and transfer them from one place to another.
