How to create Infographics with Canva?

Why should you use Canva for Infographics?

Canva is a highly versatile free graphic design platform which makes creating various forms of visual content very easy, owing to its user-friendly interface and easy to navigate features. You do not require any prerequisite knowledge to find your way through Canva.

Canva provides you with an extensive number of templates and an even greater number of add-on features to enhance those templates. Infographics is another one of these categories which boasts of an impressive collection of templates to help you create the perfect Infographic which suits your purpose.

Creating an Infographic on Canva

  • On the Canva homepage, click the Create your design button at the top-right corner.

  • Type infographic in the search bar that appears to search for infographic template.

  • You will then be directed to a page with numerous infographic templates.

  • Select a template that suits your reason for using an infographic and complements your purpose.

  • You can also use a blank Canvas to create an infographic with the background and elements of your choice right from scratch.

  • Here, we will design an infographic from an existing template. Select a template that goes with the message you are trying to portray through the Infographic. You can also search for templates using keywords in the search bar.

  • You can change the background of your infographic if you want to. It can be done by the background icon on the left side of the top panel and choosing the colour of your choice.

  • The background option contains a variety of options from solid colours to quirky patterns to sketches.

  • Change the appearance or delete the demo text that is given in your infographic template.

  • To delete the text box, right-click on it and press delete and then you can add your own text from the Text option on the left panel through fonts and colours from the Text option available on the left panel of the workspace.

  • You can also use the existing demo text boxes, add new text and use fonts and colours which go with your infographic’s aesthetic to edit the text.

  • You can also add additional elements to your design from the Elements option at the left panel of the workspace.

  • You are now done with designing your infographic.
