Music Discovery and Distribution - New Technology in Music and Creative Entertainment

Overview

New Technology in Music and Creative Entertainment investigates and evaluates how modern technology has affected the music and entertainment sectors. The breakdown of the digital world's components, the identification of key stakeholders, and the analysis of start-up businesses, platforms, applications, and new technologies using the creation, production, distribution, marketing, and sales food chain are all included in this. Along with a new tech accelerator programme, case studies of start-up businesses creating and modifying new technology for the music industry will be presented.

New Technology in Music and Creative Entertainment consists of 6 courses with multiple modules each. You can take 1 course, all 6 or mix and match the courses that suit you. All courses have been taught face to face and online to Master's level Music Business students who come from diverse backgrounds and demographics in terms of some were artists or music labels.

• Music Bought Media Advertising [Facebook and Google Ads]
• Music Email and Affiliate Marketing

Critically evaluate and respond to a range of business models, theories and strategies applied by contemporary music and entertainment in relation to commercial practice in the digital world, and to be able to assess their disruptive impact on incumbent commercial operations, consumer behaviour and the consumption of music and entertainment.

Analyse and evaluate different uses of new technology, applications, platforms and services with reference to music and entertainment practice.
